WHAT IS "COMMUNITY ACUPUNCTURE"?

Communi-Qi Acupuncture provides acupuncture in a large, quiet, comfortable room.  Group based acupuncture is the traditional setting for acupuncture.  Please feel free to bring friends and family with you.  This allows for us to keep our cost low.  Many hospitals are now integrating acupuncture in this group setting.  For further details please visit our, About pages.

WHAT DOES IT COST?  OUR SLIDING SCALE.

Your initial Community acupuncture appointment is $65.  Following that, we will work with you to develop a treatment plan that fits your life.  Follow-up treatments are on a sliding scale of $40-$60.  Please pay us whatever you feel comfortable with, keeping in mind that you may need a series of treatments. We want you to come in for acupuncture frequently enough and regularly enough to really feel better.  

HOW LONG WILL MY APPOINTMENT BE?

The first session ranges from 30-40 minutes.  We are happy to adjust your treatment time if you have other commitments.  Please let us know if you need to finish at a specific time.

will you bill my insurance?

Communi-Qi Acupuncture does not currently take insurance.  If you have insurance that covers acupuncture, we can give you a receipt to submit, but we cannot bill your insurance for you. 

HOW LONG BEFORE I WILL SEE RESULTS?

There is no one answer.  Some problems are chronic and long term. Some are short.  Sometimes people get immediate results and sometimes you will need maintenance care.  Your acupuncturist will suggest a tailored treatment plan to you to achieve your health goals.

In the state of California, Acupuncturists can be declared your primary care practitioner. Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine is its own complete system of medicine.  The combination of acupuncture, Chinese herbs, massage, nutrition and physical exercise are the blend that allowing for healing. Regardless, we do not replace your western practitioner, especially in cases that are serious.  We look forward to working in conjunction with a team of practitioners to help fully address your health.  Please do not hesitate to have your other practitioners contact us so that we might figure out the best way to approach you achieving optimal health.
