Welcome to Communi-Qi Acupuncture. Whether this is your first time receiving acupuncture or you’re a long time acupuncture veteran, we are glad you’re here!
Upon arriving at CQA, we will review and discuss your Health history and goals based on your Intake Forms. These forms are available online or at the front desk. Please share with us any concerns your might have about your health.
It is important for us to be informed of all medications and supplements you are taking. Please update us with changes. This allows us to adjust your treatments accordingly.
Help yourself to tea or water.
Upon entering our group treatment room, please turn your phone to silent and keep your voices low. Our group room is set up to be calm, peaceful and relaxed. Relaxing improves your treatment outcomes. Look over the Etiquette and Before & After section for further details.
Get comfortable in one of the reclining chairs. Roll up your sleeves to your elbows and pant legs to your knees. Blankets and pillows are available. Your practitioner will be with you shortly.
Your provider may use diagnostic tools like looking at your tongue, taking your pulse or pressing on your abdomen. These are important diagnostic tools that Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners utilize to locate and address your health needs. These observations combined with your health history and goals allow us to develop a Chinese medicine diagnosis and choose the appropriate course of treatment.
An Initial Acupuncture Appointment can last anywhere from 45 minutes to 1 ½ hours. It is up to you how long you rest with needles in.
Booking an appointment online is quick and easy! Scheduling is recommended. Same day appointments are often available. If it is within 1 hour of your treatment, please call to check availability.
Your practitioner will work with you to develop what is the best course of treatment for achieving your health goals.
We look forward to working with you
